Autism Clinical Liaison Practitioner
Hi, I’m Janet and my role is to support Autistic adults, or those who are exploring a potential diagnosis in a range of ways.
- Offering training to staff within the West Midlands Eating disorder services in understanding Autism, Eating Disorders, Autistic Communication and Sensory Integration.
- Supporting individuals and their teams to establish reasonable adjustments, develop Autism-friendly care plans and consider the impact of sensory differences.
- Attending care and Treatment Reviews (C(E)TR) to help review and make recommendations for individuals either in the community to reduce the need for inpatient admission, or in inpatient units to ensure effective and efficient care and smooth discharge from hospital.
- Providing access to useful resources.
